Finalists for Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students, I am excited to announce that the finalists for the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost will visit campus over the next month. This is your opportunity to meet the candidates for what I believe is one of the top academic leadership positions in American public higher education today. Please join us for the candidates’ presentations addressing the questions: “What is your vision for the role of a public research university in the decades ahead? As Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, how would you identify and address the biggest challenges and opportunities?” The presentations are open to the university community and will be followed by a question-and-answer session. The schedule of presentations is provided below. Vitas for each of the finalists and the feedback survey will be available in this Box Folder.
All of the presentations will be recorded and made available at the conclusion of the campus visits. A link to the recordings will be provided in a subsequent email communication. If you will need disability-related accommodations to participate, please email Laura Bleakney, Director of Swanlund Shared Service Center, for assistance. As I said when we launched this search, our overriding goal is to find the best candidate for our university’s future growth and success. Your participation in the search process is critical, and I encourage your attendance at these presentations. Sincerely, Robert J. Jones |
