Dear Colleagues, 

As I’ve stepped into my role as Chancellor, one of the things that immediately stood out to me about Illinois is that it is, first and foremost, a caring community deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in our state and beyond. 

The Campus Charitable Fund Drive, our annual workplace giving campaign, begins tomorrow and will run through Nov. 12. Over the next six weeks, university employees will have the opportunity to support the charities of their choice through a one-time gift, a direct payment, or an ongoing payroll deduction. 

Our annual contributions to the CCFD are a meaningful way for Illinois to support the communities around us. In 2024, our collective efforts raised over $1.1 million. This year, we have set a goal of $1.5 million and 25% participation from all faculty and staff. With your support, I know we can achieve it. 

I also invite you to attend the 2025 CCFD Agency Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Illini Union, Illini Room BC. The fair is a great opportunity to meet representatives from the organizations supported by CCFD and to learn more about how your contributions make a difference.
