Dear Colleagues,

The final phase of the Unified Communications project will begin on Monday, June 18th as phone numbers will start to migrate from your traditional (Centrex) phone lines to the Unified Communications system (Lync). The migration will occur over the course of a week, and the UC Telephone Number Migration page includes a chart that contains the schedule of the phone number migrations. The following page includes the chart and instructions on how to best prepare for this migration:

We are also pleased to note that the E911 service is fully functional with location data, and has been tested and approved for use with our Unified Communications Voice System. Please note that in the rare case of a complete campus electrical or network outage, campus e-phones (emergency phones) will still be functional and available for use. For additional information on E911 including a FAQ on campus e-phones, please visit the UC E911 page:

Please note that we are still awaiting directions from the state as to returning your Centrex phones for proper disposal/recycling, so we ask that units hold onto their Centrex phones for the time being.

Thank you for your time, patience and partnership throughout this whole project. This new system will give us added tools to further our mission of learning, discovery and engagement.

Sincerely,
