Students,

Every four years, Americans have the incredible opportunity to make their voice heard and vote in the U. S. Presidential Election.  In 2008, 56.8% (132,618,580 people) of the U.S. voting-age population turned out to vote.  Will you be one of the millions to vote in November 2012?  To make your voice heard, follow the directions below and register by Tuesday, October 9, 2012.

REGISTERED AT HOME
If you are already registered in your home county and wish to remain a voter in that county, you will need to arrange for an absentee ballot.  Your county clerk can provide guidelines for voting absentee.  (Easy to access via web search.)

NOT REGISTERED IN CHAMPAIGN COUNTY
If you are not currently registered but would like to register as a voter in Champaign County, or if you would like to change your address in order to vote in Champaign County:

1. Register on campus via voter registration kiosks provided by the Office of the Champaign County Clerk.  Kiosk locations and hours are:

         ILLINI UNION (SE Entrance)
                o Sunday through Thursday:  7:00 a.m. - Midnight
                o Friday and Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.

         UNDERGRADUATE LIBRARY (Lower Level Entrance Area)
                o Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.
                o Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
                o Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
                o Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.

2. Download the Champaign County - Voter Registration Form (www.champaigncountyclerk.com/elections/docs/nvra.pdf); mail/deliver your completed form directly to the Office of the Champaign County Clerk (1776 East Washington Street, Urbana, IL  61802).

3. Register in person at the Office of the Champaign County Clerk (1776 East Washington Street, Urbana, IL  61802).
