Dear Colleagues,

The Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) is elected to serve the faculty and the University by offering added recourse for the consideration of grievances, and by furnishing a channel for direct and concerted communication between the faculty and the administrative officers of the University. Any faculty member, current or retired, may voice a suggestion for the good of the University or request consultation with the FAC through any of its members. All contacts with the FAC remain entirely confidential.

One of the responsibilities of the FAC is to report "to the chancellor, the president, the senate, and the faculty as it deems appropriate at least once a year" (University of Illinois Statutes, Article II, Section 4). You can view our 2011-12 annual report on our website at www.fac.illinois.edu.

If you have any questions about the Committee or its activities, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We hope your academic year is off to a great start.

Sincerely,

Craig Koslofsky
Chair, Faculty Advisory Committee
