Dear Campus Community Members:

University of Illinois Aerospace Engineering graduate Mike Hopkins returned to Earth on March 10 after spending nearly six months aboard the International Space Station. On May 17, Colonel Hopkins will deliver the Commencement address to graduating class of 2014.

Tomorrow, May 16, you have the chance to attend Col. Hopkins' 90-minute post-mission presentation at 3 pm in Room 1122 of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, 1205 West Clark St., Urbana.

At the same time, his wife and fellow Illinois graduate Julie Hopkins will be the guest for a discussion on the space travel experience from the perspective of the family of an astronaut. She'll take questions from the audience beginning at 3 pm in the Illini Union's Courtyard Cafe.

Both of these events are free and open to the public. I hope you can attend one of them.

Sincerely,

Phyllis M. Wise
Chancellor
