Dear Members of the Campus Community:

New Student Convocation scheduled for Friday, Aug. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Memorial Stadium has been cancelled due to anticipated inclement weather.
All residence hall dining locations will be open for lunch, as usual. Students who live in private certified housing that are not serving lunch because of Convocation may eat any University Housing dining hall at no charge to them by showing their i-card.

Students should still attend their college receptions this afternoon. Please refer to the New Student Programs Welcome Days website for more information. The site is at:

The Illinois Sights and Sounds program on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium is still scheduled, but also is subject to tomorrow evening’s weather conditions.

I wish you all a successful academic year.
