There are some important announcements and opportunities I want to share with you.

Important Step to Keep MTD Buses Running

One of the best ways to stay warm in this frigid weather is taking the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) buses around campus. The current university contract with MTD will expire this summer and we need to renew the transportation fee to sustain the current level of service. Further, we have proposed a fee increase to improve service for central campus, FAR/PAR and VetMed. Please sign this petition to put these two items on the student elections ballot and keep buses running next year.

Teaching Excellence Awards

We need your help identifying exceptional professors and teaching assistants. Each year, the Illinois Student Senate hosts the Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA), a highly regarded award presented to premier instructors who are assets to our education and campus experiences. Please take a few minutes to appreciate your favorite professors and TAs by nominating them here.

Campus Committees

Is there a part of student life you want to improve? Join a campus committee. They bring student voice to every campus entity. From cultural center advisory committees to the Parking Appeals Board, and from the Krannert Center Advisory Committee to the State Farm Center Advisory Committee, there’s something for everyone. This is a great and manageable way to engage in campus decision-making and make every part of campus better! Apply here
