Dear Members of the Campus Community,

We are currently experiencing issues with wireless network connectivity throughout various campus buildings. You may be experiencing intermittent issues or may not be able to connect to wireless at all. We are aware of this problem and are actively working to resolve it.

This morning, a piece of hardware that helps provide wireless network connectivity to several buildings on campus started experiencing technical problems. As a temporary solution, we utilized a redundant backup device that should have held until we could work with our vendor to implement a permanent resolution. However, the temporary solution is not working as planned, resulting in the loss of IllinoisNet across several campus spaces.

We are currently working closely with our vendor to resolve this issue, and we will be sure to update the campus community on the status of this issue. Please check status.cites.illinois.edu to access these updates.

Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Greg Gulick
Deputy CIO, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign
