Due to the extreme heat and increased energy demand, the regional electric grid has identified today as a potential peak electric consumption day.

We are asking that all students, faculty, and staff do everything possible to conserve the usage of electricity this afternoon including: 

• Shutting off lights
• Minimizing the usage of electronic office equipment, such as computers, copiers, shredders, etc.
• Turning off window AC units where possible including unoccupied rooms
• Adjusting thermostats to a more efficient setting

Since the electrical system’s peak occurs near the end of the work day, please make every effort to turn off what is not in use prior to leaving.  Your help is greatly appreciated.
