Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Senate of the Urbana-Champaign Campus and the Senate Committee on Committees (CoC), I would like to ask your help in identifying faculty candidates to serve on the Search Committee for the Chancellor of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At the September 21 Senate meeting, proposal SC.16.03 (Procedures for Selecting a Search Committee to Advise the President on the Selection of a Chancellor) was approved and it can be found on the Senate website: http://www.senate.illinois.edu/sc1603final.pdf.  

The Search Committee will have a total of 15 members: nine faculty (one chair and eight additional members), three students, one dean or director, one academic professional and one staff member.

We would like to ask your help in identifying the nine faculty members. We seek nominations of faculty under two groups:

1. Chair of the Search Committee
2. Faculty members of the Search Committee

Please nominate faculty members (or yourself) along with the following REQUIRED information:

1. Specify which category for the nomination (1 or 2 above)
2. Name of the nominee (s) along with the nominee(s) willingness to serve if selected
3. A 150-word biographical sketch for each nominee

We would like to receive your nominations no later than 12:00 pm (noon) on Thursday, October 1, 2015 with all information specified in items 1, 2 and 3. Nominations should be submitted to the Office of the Senate senate@illinois.edu.
