Dear Students,

On behalf of the Senate of the Urbana-Champaign Campus and the Senate Committee on Committees (CoC), we would like to ask your help in identifying student candidates to serve on the Search Committee for the Chancellor of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At the September 21 Senate meeting, proposal SC.16.03 (Procedures for Selecting a Search Committee to Advise the President on the Selection of a Chancellor) was approved and it can be found on the Senate website: http://www.senate.illinois.edu/sc1603final.pdf.  

The Search Committee will have a total of 15 members: nine faculty (one chair and eight additional members), three students, one dean or director, one academic professional and one staff member.

We would like to ask your help in identifying the three student members. Committee on Committees will nominate six members of the student electorate. Student senators will elect three: at least one undergraduate student and at least one graduate or professional student, with no more than one from the same disciplinary college or equivalent unit.
