Dear Colleagues,

President Tim Killeen is leading a university-wide strategic planning initiative to help set goals for our system for the next five years. To support the effort, he is holding town halls, as well as office hours on each of the three campuses. The Urbana town hall is on Wednesday, November 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Beckman Auditorium, and the office hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, in the South Lounge of the Illini Union.

President Killeen wants to give our campus an opportunity to ask questions about the planning process and provide input to senior staff and members of the steering committee. The conversation will be led by AKA|Strategy (AKA), a consulting firm with broad experience providing strategic counsel to leading institutions and systems of higher education. For non-exempt civil service employees, participation in the town hall is an approved event, meaning that, if the meeting occurs during an employee’s regular work schedule, the employee may attend without loss of pay and without having to charge a benefit.

If you cannot attend a live stream will be available at https://www.uillinois.edu/strategic_plan/townhalls/.

I hope to see you at one or both of these events.

Warm regards,

Barbara J. Wilson
