Dear Illinois Student,

Would you like to take an amazing GenEd course for spring?  Do you care about:

  • Inequality and cultural understanding
  • Sustainability, energy and the environment
  • Health and wellness

Then you should click now on one of the 25 new courses available this spring through the campus’s Grand Challenge Learning pilot.  “Grand Challenge Learning” isn’t about making courses hard—it’s about giving you a chance to make a difference on the world’s most pressing problems. These courses are now open to all Illinois undergraduates.

Why are these courses so different?  Each will enroll just 25 students.  All feature new routes to learning, such as projects, design, or work in the community.  Professors voted “excellent” by their students have created these courses on the issues you care about.  And every course fulfills at least one General Education requirement.  Register now before it’s too late!
