Effective immediately and until further notice, all Direct Deposit information changes by employees through NESSIE must be made from a computer on a campus network. Therefore, changes to your Direct Deposit information in NESSIE will not be allowed from an outside network connection (internet). This includes all Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections. These changes are considered necessary due to the increased risk of phishing attacks on University of Illinois employees. University Payroll and Benefits is aware that this approach may be inconvenient for some. The University is working toward a more convenient solution for updating Direct Deposit information in NESSIE, for implementation this fall. The solution will contain additional security features, and you will receive further information when it becomes available.
