We would like to give you an update regarding a Campus Safety Notice you received last week. The University of Illinois Police Department has made an arrest following a sexual abuse incident which occurred Dec. 4 in a university residence hall.

Sexual misconduct is a significant concern on college campuses throughout the country. We have a collective responsibility to support people who have experienced sexual assault or to step in if we are in a position to prevent sexual assault.

University policy prohibits sexual misconduct, including sexual assault and abuse. Anyone who has experienced sexual misconduct or wants to support someone who has can visit wecare.illinois.edu for more information on resources, reporting options and university policies.
