The Office of the President is launching an internal system-wide search for the position of Chief of Staff (formerly titled Special Assistant to the President).  The position is currently held by Michael Devocelle who will become the Associate Dean for Finance and Administration position in the College of Engineering at Urbana-Champaign in March 2017.  The chief of staff reports directly to the president and the duties of the position include a wide variety of administrative and executive duties, including special projects that are assigned by the president and reflect the initiatives of the president’s office. The chief of staff is a senior administrator and serves as a member of the president’s cabinet, as well as a liaison to a variety of internal and external constituencies.
