The Campus Student Election Commission (CSEC) is pleased to announce the start of the 2017 Election Season. Voting will take place on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 and Thursday, March 9, 2017.

In addition to the campus-wide student referendum, the 2017 election incorporates the following:

  • The Student Trustee for the Urbana Campus on the Board of Trustees
  • Over 50 Student Representatives to the Senate of the Urbana Campus
  • 8 student members on the Student Organization Resource Fee Board
  • NEW: Illinois Student Government President and Vice President
  • NEW: Over 50 members of the Illinois Student Government Assembly

Links to the applications and the official election packet, which contains candidacy requirements, campaigning rules and the voting process, are accessible via the CSEC website: http://studentelections.illinois.edu/. The CSEC website and the election packet also contain information on proposing a question for the student referendum.

We hope that students will be actively engaged in becoming candidates for office and voting on March 8 and March 9. If you have any questions about elections, please contact the CSEC at studentelections@illinois.edu.
