Call for Nominations: Chancellor Search Committee

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Senate and Senate Committee on Committees invite you to nominate individuals to serve on the Committee to Advise the President on Selecting the Next Chancellor.

The Senate Executive Committee proposes a search committee of 15 members including: 

• eight faculty members (one chair and seven additional faculty)
• three student members (at least one undergraduate and at least one graduate or professional)
• two academic professional members
• one civil service member
• one dean or director

The University Senate is scheduled to approve the committee composition and election procedures at its December 9, 2024 meeting. The Senate Committee on Committees will seek additional nominations from stakeholders, the Senate will vote to elect committee members December 18-20, and results will be announced promptly following the election.

Submit nominations online before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024.
