Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Dear campus community member:

It is my pleasure to share the 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report with you. Each year, we publish this report which contains important crime statistics and information from the previous three years concerning campus property, certain off-campus buildings or on property owned or controlled by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, the report includes statistics about fires in campus student housing, fire safety policies and procedures, campus safety policies, and other safety information. 

The University of Illinois Division of Public Safety and Campus Code Compliance and Fire Safety prioritize providing students, faculty and staff with a safe and secure environment to work, study and conduct business. However, we cannot do it alone. Crime and fire prevention is a community effort, and by reading this report, you are taking proactive measures to protect the safety of yourself and others.
