June 8, 2026 11:01 AM

Dear members of the University of Illinois System community,

As co-chairs of the Search Committee to Assist in the Selection of a President, we invite you to participate in a series of town halls, one on each university campus. These sessions are an opportunity to share your perspective and help inform the search for the next president of the U of I System.

You are invited to attend the session most convenient for you, on any campus:

Chicago
Tuesday, June 16, 2–4 p.m.
Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum
Rooms DEF
725 W. Roosevelt Road

Springfield
Wednesday, June 17, 10 a.m. to noon
UIS Brookens Library
Brookens Auditorium
1 University Plaza,
2200 Ernest Hemingway Drive

Urbana-Champaign
Thursday, June 18, 10 a.m. to noon
I Hotel & Conference Center
Heritage Hall, 1900 S. First St.

If you are unable to attend in person, you have the option to submit your feedback on the presidential search website, which will also be updated with news about the search as it progresses. We encourage you to visit the frequently asked questions section there for answers to common questions about the search process and town halls.

Registration is not required. If you require any accommodation to fully participate in a session, please contact System Human Resource Services at erhr@uillinois.edu or 217-333-2600.

Your voice matters in this process. We hope you’ll join us.

Thank you,

Ramón Cepeda
