Road Closures for Illinois Race Weekend

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

As we approach Illinois Race Weekend, please be aware of road closures affecting our community from Thursday evening through Saturday. All races, including the full marathon, will start and end on our campus, which will result in temporary traffic disruptions.

To ensure you can plan accordingly, race organizers have compiled comprehensive information:

• Road Closures: Beginning Thursday, April 24, several roads in Urbana, Champaign and Savoy will be temporarily closed to accommodate the races. For detailed maps of affected streets, the weekend event schedule, navigation tips, parking restrictions and more, please refer to the Illinois Marathon website.
• Changes to Bus Routes: Due to these road closures, some bus routes may experience temporary alterations. Stay updated by checking with the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District for any changes to your regular routes.
