Announcing the Chancellor’s Research Projects for 2025–26
March 31, 2025 11:01 AM

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025–26 Chancellor’s Research Program. Begun in Fall 2020, the goal of the program is to enhance exceptional cross-disciplinary research strengths and expand collaborations to build cultures of research and scholarship that creates a more robust and equitable society.

The projects supported during this next funding year include research on data sovereignty, enhancing research experiences, and addressing the drivers of health disparities. Of foremost importance in evaluating the proposals were potential impact and future pathways for sustainability. A full list of projects and descriptions is available at go.illinois.edu/ChancellorsResearchProjects.

Please join me in recognizing this year's projects and leaders. I encourage you to learn more about these projects funded by the Chancellor’s Research Program.

Sincerely,

Sean C. Garrick
Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
