Homecoming 2026 will be here before we know it, and we need your ideas to help set the tone for the celebration.

Last year’s theme, Illinois, Where Legends Begin, was chosen through this very process and truly lived up to its name, culminating in REO Speedwagon returning to campus as our legendary alumni Grand Marshals for the parade and halftime show.

The Alumni Association and Student Affairs are once again inviting your creativity to help shape the next great Homecoming story. Share your best theme idea for 2026. Think Illini spirit, iconic campus landmarks, or timeless traditions. The survey only takes a few minutes. Once we narrow it down to the top five, you’ll help us vote for the winner.

Recent themes:

  • 2023 – Sweet Home Illini.
  • 2024 – Illinois. Together. Forever.
  • 2025 – Illinois, Where Legends Begin.
