Student Success Initiative Symposium
Friday, February 4, 2022
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Hybrid: Attend in-person at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) or via Zoom

Please register and plan to join Provost Andreas Cangellaris and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Danita Brown Young in-person or via Zoom at the inaugural Student Success Initiative Symposium.

Participate in the ongoing discussion about what our campus is doing and will do to bolster retention, reduce graduation gaps, and enhance the Illinois experience.

Don't miss this chance to engage with other faculty, staff, and students to think critically about undergraduate success and to identify strengths, gaps, and priorities for our university.

  2. Learn about the Keynote Speaker: Dr. Cia Verschelden is Special Projects Advisor for the Integration of Academic and Student Affairs at the Association of American Colleges and Universities. She recently retired as Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Malcolm X College – City Colleges of Chicago. She taught for over 25 years at two- and four-year institutions in social work, sociology, women’s studies, nonviolence studies, and first-year seminar. Read more about Dr. Verschelden.
