Call for Nominations: 2026–2027 University Senate Committees and Advisory Bodies

The Senate Committee on Committees invites nominations and self-nominations for several University Senate committees and advisory bodies for the 2026–2027 academic year. Senate committees play a key role in the university’s system of shared governance by reviewing policies, advising campus leadership, and addressing issues that affect the academic mission and university community.

Faculty, academic professionals, and students are encouraged to nominate themselves or recommend colleagues for service. You do not need to be a senator to serve on most Senate committees. Senate membership is not required except where specified.

Standing Senate Committees

Deadline: April 10 at 12 p.m. (noon)

Nominations are being accepted for membership on Standing Senate Committees for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Joint Advisory Committee on Investment, Licensing, and Naming Rights (JACILNR) and Other Advisory Bodies

Deadline: April 10 at 12 p.m. (noon)

Committee on Committees also invites nominations and self-nominations for faculty and students to serve on the Joint Advisory Committee on Investment, Licensing, and Naming Rights (JACILNR) and other advisory bodies for the 2026–2027 academic year. JACILNR provides advice on matters related to university investments, licensing, and naming rights.
