Since 2020 the university has subsidized access to Adobe Creative Cloud for all Illinois students. Due to current budget constraints, this subsidy will end on December 31, 2025, and free access will no longer be available. Starting in November 2025, students can purchase a personal six-month Adobe CC license for $40 through the WebStore, which will be good for January through June 2026. A full-year license for FY27 will be offered before June 30 at a significantly discounted rate of $80. Adobe’s standard academic pricing totals approximately $360 annually. 

Student employees (including graduate appointments) may continue to access Adobe CC on university-owned machines at no additional cost. Your unit IT professional can assist with this option.  

Units can contact the WebStore  at WebStore@illinois.edu to purchase bulk student Adobe CC licenses using a CFOP. 

Faculty and staff access to Adobe CC is not impacted by this change.
