University Operations on Election Day
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff, The university will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, with classes and exams held as scheduled. If you are eligible to vote in this election, we encourage you to exercise that right and make your voice heard on the issues that matter most to you. For more information about on-campus Election Day voting sites, including early voting, please visit the Illini Vote website. Employees who are required to work may be eligible for paid time off to vote under the General Election Voting Leave policy. State law grants eligible employees up to two hours of paid leave for the purpose of voting in a general election if their working hours on Election Day begin less than two hours after polls open and end less than two hours before polls close. If you are an employee and you have questions, please contact your unit HR representative or Illinois Human Resources at ihr-ler@illinois.edu or 217-333-3105. Sincerely, Lowa Mwilambwe |
